Exhibition February 1 © Demotix human rights activists, journalists and other people were arrested Egyptian security forces, in what appears to be a ride lives on independent voices, following protests in Egypt. Among those arrested, two staff members and a director of Amnesty Intenational Human Rights Watch. They are currently detained in an undisclosed location. Amnesty International is concerned that all the detainees at risk of torture or other ill-treatment. According to the information available to Amnesty International, about 30 people were arrested at the premises of the Hisham Mubarak Center for Legal Studies (HMLC), after the military police had raided the place. Among those arrested, there are staff members dell'Hmlc, volunteers for the front to defend the Egyptian protesters, Amnesty staff International and Human Rights Watch. They were also arrested Ahmed Saif Al Islam, the Executive Director dell'Hmlc, ElHassan Mostafa, Ahmed Taher, Mohsein Bashir, Nadin Abu Shadi, Nada Sadek, Mouna Al Masry, Fatma Abou Abed and Shahdan Shad. They were arrested as well as some employees of the Egyptian Center for Economic and Social Rights (Ecesr), whose headquarters is near the dell'Hmlc, including the Chief Khaled Ali. Amnesty International considers all the arrested persons, prisoners of conscience . The staff dell'Hmlc was defending those arrested during the demonstrations, while the Ecesr has collaborated in a makeshift medical center in a mosque near Tahrir Square, to treat those who were injured during the demonstrations. The arrests are the result of a broader crackdown by the Egyptian authorities on journalists and human rights activists, apparently in an attempt to curb independent voices, which follow the ongoing protests. Some journalists were attacked by pro-government supporters, while others were attacked by security forces. A journalist of CNN-IBN, Rajeev Bhardway, was arrested and released several hours later. Representatives of Amnesty International in Egypt, said they have no news about the site is located in Malak Adly, a lawyer for twenty-nine dell'Hmlc human rights, since he was arrested by the Egyptian military on Tuesday 1 February. Mohamed Atef was arrested February 3 by the military police, accused of having distributed anti-government leaflets. The military courts violate various guarantees of due process, including the right of appeal.
